Slindon College is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 8-18, set in the historic Slindon House, located in the South Downs National Park. With unrivalled views of the south coast, the 14 acre setting provides the backdrop to a stimulating, broad and balanced educational experience for pupils of all academic abilities, taking into account their strengths and talents.
Welcome to Slindon, I have the privilege of leading a College offering an educational experience for those boys who struggle to fulfil their potential in independent and mainstream schools. The impact of our surroundings provides a calm and meaningful setting for a dedicated team of professionals to fully understand the individual and offer pathways for visible and long term success. The impact of social anxiety – feelings of acute self-consciousness – have been a barrier to progress, our approach reduces the anxiety and allows self-fulfilment.
At Slindon we want to work with each boy on a rounded social and educational development package, offering both nationally recognised examinations and social development targets agreed with parent and the child.
‘Keep it small, know them all’ is a real message that reflects our total commitment to getting the very best outcomes for every boy in our charge. The College is evolving and hopefully building a legacy of respect, tolerance and happiness that will remain with the boys throughout their lives.
We would love to welcome you the College and see the work we do first hand.
Slindon College provides outstanding transformative education and pastoral care for boys who will thrive in a specialist learning environment more suited to Specific Learning Difficulties, Developmental Language Disorders and associated conditions. Our social and intelligent boys have had setbacks in mainstream settings and the College offers a well-developed pathway for their future success.
Slindon College aims for outstanding teaching, where engagement and the learning journey are given priority. We recognise that learning takes many pathways and that each pupil has their own learning style. Slindon College sees that these learning pathways are fully supported with; Specialist Teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and 1:1 practitioners. The College provides a curriculum that allows personal development and the breadth of experience that encourages success and life-long engagement in learning. Every opportunity is taken to utilise the grounds and the community in bringing learning to life.
