At More House, we empower our students to transform their futures. In a uniquely aspirational environment, pupils with weaknesses in their literacy, developmental language and attention skills discover their strengths and find self-belief. A rich mainstream, academic curriculum is delivered through adaptive teaching and specialist intervention; our pupils realise academic and social outcomes, including university entry, well above national averages.

Nationally celebrated as a centre for excellence, and repeatedly graded ‘Outstanding’ in every area by Ofsted, our school boasts a rich, 85 year history of supporting boys with Specific Learning Difficulties to realise successes far beyond their expectations.
As one community, we build pupils’ academic, creative, sport and social achievement. Our specialist approach in every classroom is carefully designed to help pupils realise their own potential through adaptation of teaching methods to ensure all pupils can access the learning and acquire the skills to make the best possible progress.
A varied curriculum is complemented by an inspiring extra-curricular programme and enrichment opportunities, so that each pupil is successful amongst his peers, and learns to recognise that success.
Our boarders’ experiences are stimulating and happy within an environment where they are cared for and supported through a partnership between parents and the school. Whether boarding weekly or termly, we believe in converting daily travel time into social confidence, extra-curricular activities and supported study time.
