Marymount International School London is an independent school for girls aged 11 to 18 years which nurtures the limitless potential of curious, motivated students of diverse faiths and backgrounds. Founded in 1955 through the charism of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM), we are proudly the first all-girls’ school in the UK to adopt the International Baccalaureate curriculum (IB MYP and Diploma).
Our students love to learn and learn to love in an inclusive environment that challenges and supports their whole person development.
Students enrolled with us are empowered to build their confidence, spirituality, leadership skills and sense of self. Who we teach is as important as what we teach. Whether innovating in our STEAM Hub, debating in class, dancing on the stage, or learning a new world language, they are encouraged to sharpen their critical thinking skills, collaborate with others, and celebrate our diverse community made up of over 40 different nationalities.
The campus offers outstanding facilities, including:
The School’s challenging academic programme is based on the International Baccalaureate curricula:
The Middle Years Programme (MYP), offered in Grades 6 to 10 (equivalent to UK’s Years 7 to 11), encourages students to draw meaningful connections between eight broad and varied subject groups. With a central focus on the development of conceptual understanding and effective approaches to learning skills, the MYP is a student-centred, inquiry-based programme rooted in interdisciplinary learning.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grades 11 and 12 (equivalent to UK’s Years 12 to 13, or A-Levels) builds on the strong foundation in place from the MYP, leading to independent research opportunities as well as exceptional university placement within the UK and around the world.
Our 2022 results are outstanding: an average of 37 points out of 45points.
Marymount’s bespoke, student-centred College Counselling Programme leads to successful placements at top universities in the UK and around the world. The individualised approach to the programme translates to students beginning to consider their choices as early as 13 years of age.
Marymount’s holistic approach to learning delivers a well-rounded education that encourages critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and participation in a wide array of interesting extracurricular offerings including dramatic arts, an array of sports, music and leadership opportunities.
