Ashford School, established in 1898 is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3 months to 18 years. The school is set in the heart of Kent in the South of England, providing excellent transport links to Europe and the rest of the world.
We have 4 boarding houses on site and enjoy the cultural diversity of students from more than 30 different countries. We offer an exceptional and inspiring education that promotes the happiness and success of all pupils.
At Ashford School, our educational philosophy is based on a very simple assumption: if a pupil is happy and secure, they are more likely to be successful.
Parents choose Ashford School because of our well-developed reputation for getting the best from your child by surrounding them with highly capable, expert adults from a wide variety of backgrounds, and by availing your child with hundreds of experiences in and outside the classroom. The pupils’ results speak for themselves.
Parents choose Ashford School for many reasons: high academic success; we work very closely with our students, giving attention to the needs of the individual; small class sizes; our challenging and supportive environment; wide range of co-curricular activities; and our energetic, specialist teachers.
Our learning is underpinned by four key factors: Celebrating Individuality, Optimising Potential, Academic Rigour and Adventurous Learning. We believe that learning should be challenging, motivating and lead to a sense of fulfilment, which is why we strive to provide an inspiring environment that encourages growth and adventure.
In recent years, 91% of students secured either their firm or insurance university choice with more than half gaining a place at a Russell Group University. 2022 saw the best GCSE results awarded to Ashford School students in the last 7 years. An impressive 99% of all grades were awarded at 9-4 (A-C), with 59% of these being achieved at 9-7 (A*-A).
We embrace individual talent and consider our School to be a place where students and staff are inspired and in turn inspire others.
