New Headship for Forres Sandle Manor School

Posted: 1st September 2021

This week Mike Stanley takes up the reins as the new Headmaster at Forres Sandle Manor School in Fordingbridge. Mike joins the school from his position as the Deputy Head of Walhampton Prep School near Lymington.  On his appointment, the board of Directors said:

In a very strong field, Mikes passion for education, commitment to individualised learning and determination to unlock the potential in every child shone through. Whether enabling children to re-enact the Battle of Hastings on horseback or the Battle of Trafalgar, he takes every opportunity to adopt a dynamic approach to teaching children and embed a love of learning.

I feel very privileged and honoured to be joining the FSM team and leading the school into an exciting new chapter. All children are stars, and it is our job at Forres Sandle Manor to help them shine. This is at the forefront of everything we do at FSM, and we champion every child. We aim to help our children become kind, thoughtful and respectful citizens who will look forwards and outwards and be a positive force in society. FSM is embarking on a new dawn in its history where every day is an exciting adventure for our children, filled with fun and laughter, and we are a school that truly puts the child at the centre of everything we do. We have new exciting plans for the school, starting with a new play area for the children, as well as looking at ways to enhance the children’s experience of the New Forest. I am looking forward to starting next week and leading this wonderful school from strength to strength.
