Rowers have been out on the water in the autumn sunshine honing their skills and trying out different seating combinations. Rowing is an Upper School games option in the Autumn and Summer terms for Fifth Formers and above, with the students rowing with Bradford-upon-Avon rowing Club each week.

Miss Pearson, one of the teachers responsible for the rowing programme at Dauntsey’s, said;

“No experience is needed and almost all pupils are complete beginners with they start with us. Rowing is technically difficult and fantastic for all round fitness.

“The pupils row as a member of a crew and learn to work together effectively. Rowing is great fun, promotes teamwork and connects pupils with the environment. We are very lucky at Dauntsey’s to have access to such beautiful canals and rivers.”
