More than 200 pupils staged the Dauntsey’s annual Lower School Dance Show last week. The show presented a wide variety of dance styles, showcasing the talents and versatility of the pupils. The audience enjoyed contemporary, ballet, tap and street dance to name but a few, all performed with incredibly energy and enthusiasm.

This year the Dance Show’s theme was the Olympics, with each dance focusing on an Olympic sport. Particularly spectacular performances were given by the Third Form Dance Scholars, who delivered a stunning Rhythmic Gymnastics themed dance, and the Girls Not Invited all-boy dance group, who performed a high-energy Motocross routine.

Emily Wilkins, Head of Dance at Dauntsey’s, said: “The audience was so impressed by the enthusiasm of all the dancers and the professionalism with which the Lower School took to the stage. The Show theme of the Olympics provided inspiration for some really exciting and memorable performances.”

A parent attending the Show said: “I was honestly blown away by the talent of the pupils! It was wonderful to see so many of them up on stage having such a super time.”
