Another day of celebration at Abbotsholme, 100% of Year 11 students have achieved a robust set of qualifications of which they can be proud of, in this year that has given so much uncertainty .
Following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a robust process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. GCSE Grades 9 to 7 at 37%, Grades 9 to at 52%, and Grade 9 to 4 at 87% as well as a 100% pass rate for BTECS with Distinction Star at 47% and Distinction Star/Distinction at 60%.
Our teachers and pupils have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and students can look forward to the next phase of their learning with confidence. These results demonstrate the students resilience and adherence to our school values of integrity, courage, respect, humility and honesty.
Head of Middle School, Mr Ritchie said, ‘It’s fantastic to see the achievements of the Year 11 pupils who have worked so hard over the past two years, particularly with the additional challenges they have faced. As a school we are extremely proud of them and wish them every success in their further educational journey.’
