Dauntsey’s is thrilled to announce the programme for its third Summer Festival, a celebration of the talents and aptitudes of the pupils which will run from 27th June to the 2nd July. There will be more than 36 events this year, including rock, contemporary dance, break dancing, drama and even some Shakespeare in the woods. Highlights will include:

  • A Lower School drama production of RL Stevenson’s adventure novel, Treasure Island
  • A night of Opera from Dauntsey’s talented vocalists with highlights from Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro and many more
  • Rockfest – a really special event where pupils channel their inner rock stars
  • Peaky Blinders – a new narrative Dance piece, inspired by the hugely popular BBC TV series
  • A presentation of stories and tragedies of Ancient Greece and the story of Troy from the Classics department – Greek Tragedy and The Legend of Troy
  • A showcase of Art A level and GCSE work in the Summer Exhibition, held in the Art School

Mark Lascelles, Head Master, Dauntsey’s, said:
“The Summer Festival provides a platform for everyone in our community to showcase their skills and abilities, whether that is in philosophy, classics, sport, maths, art, drama, dance or music. I hope it will also provide our leavers with the opportunity to go out with a bang and many happy memories!

“I think everyone – parents, friends, pupils and visitors – will find something to delight and entertain as we celebrate the conclusion of another memorable year here at Dauntsey’s.”
