A Forres Sandle Manor pupil has ridden to victory at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and was then invited to take part in Her Majesty’s Birthday Celebrations on Sunday evening, in an epic event that was hosted by Ant & Dec and shown live on ITV.
Digby, wearing the Queen’s colours and riding “Dunfermline”, won a special Shetland Pony race in which each pony was named after one of the Queen’s successful racehorses. He then took part in the Sunday evening pageant where he showed off his riding prowess and was part of the team that brought in the huge birthday cake for the finale.
Headmaster, Mark Hartley, was particularly delighted for Digby as he said “we are all proud of what Digby has achieved and, being a Dunfermline boy myself, I never had any doubt as to which pony would win!”
