Haberdashers’ Adams has been a free grammar school since it was founded over 365 years ago and offers an exceptional education for boys and girls aged 11-18, with the added bonus of boarding for boys (this part is not free but much more affordable than the independent school sector at £5,094 per term).

The school’s reputation for high academic results, music and sporting excellence proceeds it as too does its strong pastoral House system and House competitions. There is a huge focus on providing pupils with as many opportunities as possible to try new things, with over 60 extra-curricular activities including a thriving Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and an active Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, alongside clubs covering sport, art, astronomy, debating and creative writing to name just a few. There really is something for everyone!

Life is exciting, busy and fast-paced at Haberdashers’ Adams which has some fantastic facilities, including a dedicated Sixth Form Centre with seminar rooms and bistro, a modern music and performing arts centre, a new teaching block for art and maths, and some superb sports facilities including a fully equipped gym and over 100 acres of playing fields.
